Eminem’s New Album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ Leaks Online Early Ahead Of Release

Eminem may be one of the biggest stars in the world but even he can’t avoid suffering the premature leaking of an album with his upcoming record ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ surfacing online several days before it is due for its official release.

The 41-year-old rapper is preparing to release his 12th studio album on November 4 but it seems there is an eager beaver around as ‘MMLP2’ has found its way online and fans have been rushing to download sites to catch a first listen of the anticipated record.

The album, Eminem’s first since 2010’s ‘Recovery,’ boasts an impressive star-studded line-up including the likes of Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey and Nate Ruess while the deluxe edition features Australian songwriter Sia.

Eminem’s collaboration with Rihanna titled ‘The Monster’ is believed to be a follow-up to their 2010 duet on ‘Love The Way You Lie’ and received its official premiere last week to a positive response from fans, some of who claimed it was just as good as their first joint outing.

The Nate Ruess feature titled ‘Headlights,’ which fans have now heard due to the leak, serves as an ode to the rapper’s mother Debbie Nelson and sees him apologise for apparently treating her bad. Twitter user GabrielShaze was particularly complimentary of the track, writing: “I wasn’t so sure I wud enjoy the direction of MMLP2 after @Eminem released Bezerk but then I just listened to ‘Headlights.’”

The album has certainly proved popular with fans already with the lead single ‘Berzerk’ soaring to number two in the UK and being certified platinum while the third release ‘Rap God’ peaked at number five.

Meanwhile, according to USA Today, Eminem’s team have plans to attempt to combat the leak by making ‘MMLP2’ available for streaming on iTunes for free later today, according to Interscope’s Dennis Dennehy.

Eminem looks set to promote the album this weekend with a performance on Saturday Night Live and he is also rumoured to be performing at the YouTube Music Awards on Sunday.
