Elizabeth Hurley Shows Off Royal-Inspired Engagement Ring

The Royal wedding has certainly sparked off a trend as Elizabeth Hurley proudly debuted her sapphire engagement at a breast cancer charity event yesterday.

Hurley became engaged to former Australian cricketer Shane Warne this weekend, and is now wearing a £50,000 diamond and sapphire engagement ring, that bears quite a resemblance to Kate Middleton’s engagement ring, that was once Princess Diana’s.

The 46-year-old actress, who has been dating Warne for less that a year, wore a glam pink dress for the event which saw her team up with cosmetics company Estee Lauder for its Pink Ribbon collection.

At the Edinburgh’s department store Jenners, the star also switched on its display to make the front of the store pink, and she tweeted: “Come back to see me light the store pink at 6pm. Hoping my Big Blonde fiancé will be helping me…”

Warne had tweeted: “Looking forward to accompanying EH to light up Jenners tonight in Edinburgh in aid of breast cancer research ! Well done E !!!! Xxx.”

Tweeting after her personal appearance, Hurley revealed that it hadn’t been all showbiz glam as she was able to meet people whose lives had been affected by cancer. She wrote: “Back from PA at Jenners. I met many breast cancer survivors & people going through treatment. Very moving.”
