Ed Sheeran, The Match Maker? He Tried To Set Taylor Swift Up On Dates

There’s no denying that Ed Sheeran has a successful career as a musician but a match maker? Well, that might need some work as the star revealed that he tried to set US super starlet, Taylor Swift, up on dates with his friends.

The ‘Drunk’ hitmaker who has built up a close friendship with Taylor, revealed to fans at the Amazon Front Row event that he briefly took on the role as cupid. He said: “I have tried to set Taylor up with a few of my friends. I have a lot of good looking friends.”

However, in a recent interview with British Vogue, Taylor revealed that she’s concentrating on being single and on her career at the moment. The star who has dated the likes of Harry Styles and Jake Gyllenhaal in the past, told the prestigious publication: “Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind, because I can’t picture how it could work with the way my life is.”

Suggesting that her fame could be a reason as to why dating is so difficult, Taylor continued: “I don’t know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can’t protect his girlfriend because that’s the life she chose. I just don’t see how it could work, so I don’t think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself. ‘Cause I don’t think any guy really… They think that they would want to get to know me, and maybe date me, but I don’t think they want what comes with it.”

Back to the music and it appears that fans will have to wait for a while before they hear any more collaborations between Taylor and Ed. Sharing the conundrum at the Amazon Front Row event, Ed said: “I’ve recorded some more songs with Taylor Swift, but it’s just a case of finding out where to put them as I don’t really put collaborations on my albums. She did her last record, 1989, really quickly, in about a month, I think, so there was no time to put any on there.”
