Did The Rolling Stones Invite Adele to Perform With Them?

According to reports, legendary band The Rolling Stones are hoping to get Adele to perform at some of their upcoming concerts. The band, which consists of old rockers Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts are performing at Barclaycard’s British Summer Time Hyde Park festival on July 6 and July 13. They’re hoping Adele will join them on stage – she has been on a career hiatus since she gave birth to her son 8 months ago – as the whole band believe it would make for an amazing guest appearance. A source commented:

”The Stones would love to get Adele on with them. It would be a massive coup, even for them, because she’s been a bit reclusive since her son Angelo James was born. She is the name they want to announce as their special guest — and their invite should be special enough to get her out on stage. At the minute it’s 50/50 that she’ll do it, but Mick is quietly confident he can pull it off. They want to make the Hyde Park shows a highlight of their tour, and her appearing would make it really special.”

The Rolling Stones have already planned a whole series of guest appearances by female performers including Lady Gaga, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch and they believe Adele would be a perfect addition to their show – they even think it would be the pinnacle of their tour so far:

‘The group think female performers are a great complement for Mick ever since Florence Welch got on stage with them at London’s O2 Arena last year for Gimme Shelter. Gaga, Paloma and Flo would all do well in the Hyde Park shows, but Adele is the big prize this summer.”

We’ll have to watch this space for confirmation but it would be an amazing collaboration if they manage to pull this one out of the bag! For concert tickets, visit StubHub – you don’t want to miss this!
