It may be a racy role to take on, but Dakota Johnson has said that her ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ character Anastasia Steele is actually quite boring. Dakota has been getting in to character by doing a lot of reading because her character is working on an English Major but she admits it isn’t quite as thrilling as she expected:

”A lot of getting into the character’s head, in Ana’s headspace before she meets Christian, so it’s a lot of reading, which I love. She’s an English major, so that’s kinda boring.”

The actress says that filming is going well so far and has proven to be “fun and creative”. She admits that she has had to set her fears aside when approaching the role and she’s been getting along with everyone – including co-star Jamie Dornan – extremely well:

”It’s been a very smooth and fun and creative experience. I think going into something like this, you kind of have fears of what it could be like and none of those fears are happening. We all get along really well and the crew’s amazing. We’re just all trying to make this project the best it can be.”
