CGI to be Used to Complete Paul Walker’s ‘Fast and Furious’ 7 Role

Paul Walker tragically died in a car accident last November before wrapping up filming on ‘Fast and Furious’ 7, but the studio plans to finish off the film using a mixture of CGI and body doubles. Considering the last film in the hit series made $500 million globally and this one is likely to have even more interest due to Paul’s sad and untimely death, the studio are obviously doing whatever they can to patch up the holes. A source commented:

”They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base. Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”

Let’s just hope it doesn’t look as creepy as it sounds. Meanwhile, Paul’s co-star Vin Diesel also believes the show must go on, but not without keeping Paul in mind. He said about the importance of finishing his role:

”The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one. Only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series.”

He shared a photo via Facebook of the last scene he filmed alongside Paul for the upcoming film, writing about the moment:

”There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared … in the film we were now completing … the magic captured … and, in just how far we’ve come … ‘Fast and Furious 7’ will be released … April 10th 2015! P.S. He’d want you to know first.”
