Cameron Diaz Spills on Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin Split

Cameron Diaz is known to be close to Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently announced that she’s splitting from her husband of ten years, Chris Martin. Cameron has decided to give her opinion on their separation, saying the couple worked hard to keep it together but they have decided to split amicably and there won’t be a media blow up because they will be good friends instead:

“For both Chris and Gwyneth, I mean they worked really hard. People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they’re kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another. Just because they don’t want to be a couple together, doesn’t mean that they have to hate one another. They are really good friends.”

Cameron says the split has gone as smoothly as possible and the couple have been “brave” to face the public honestly about the split. She says they will continue to work together as parents and will remain close:

“They’ve made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don’t want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends…I think people should really honor that and they should admire it and they should respect it. They’ve done something really extraordinary, and they’ve been very brave at presenting that to the public.”

When asked how they’re coping, she added:

“She’s doing great. They’re doing great.”
