Britain’s Got Talent: 14-Year-Old Bailey McConnell Brings Judges To Tears

Bailey McConnell will be seen leaving the judges and the audience in tears tonight when he auditions in the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

The 14-year-old sings an original song called ‘Dying Hole’ for Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, with Simon Cowell having left filming to join his girlfriend – who had just gone into labour.

‘Dying Hole’, Bailey explains, is written about a close friend who turned on him.

“One of my close, close friends turned on me. I didn’t expect it and it really hurt me, but it made me the person I am today,” he says.

“What is there not to like about you? Fantastic voice, you played beautifully and you can write really incredible songs,” Walliams tells him.

“Often the best singer songwriters have to go through something really tough and turn it into something really beautiful and we can all unite because we’ve all had some experience like that… for example the person that you love is having a baby with someone else, I get it. I get it.”

Alesha adds: “It’s times like this I wish I was Simon Cowell because if I had a record label I’d sign you.”
