Brad Pitt Forced to Shave for Role, Gushes About ’12 Years a Slave’

Brad Pitt made a rare public appearance for the Producers Guild Awards in Los Angeles last night and was rocking a rather clean shaven look, however it was against his will. Brad was questioned about the new look and explained that he had to de-hair for an upcoming role:

”It’s for a part. It’s not a choice!”

Brad showed his support for his ’12 Years a Slave’ co-star  Lupita Nyong’o who is hotly tipped as Hollywood’s next big name actress, commenting that she is a talented and the kind of person who is going places:

”She’s very special. [A] very special young lady. We’re going to see great things from her.”

He also gushed about the film and how much attention it has been receiving during awards season already, stating that he is excited about the hype because it means more people will see the film which he thinks is important because he loves the story. Brad adds that it’s the kind of film that doesn’t come along very often and has an amazing message:

 ”It’s great. It also ensures that more people are going to see it. And in my mind this is a film that only comes along once in a decade and everyone should see this. It’s that good. It’s moving, it’s inspirational. It’s why I wanted to go into film in the first place.”
