Big Brother: 8 Legendary Housemates Who Really Should Have Won

This year’s Big Brother comes to a close at the end of the week, and for the first time in ages, it’s not really clear who’s going to win. Ashleigh Coyle remains the bookies’ narrow favourite, but with Christopher Hall also proving popular and support for controversial Helen Wood swelling at pace, it’s still wide open.

In the past, it’s usually ended up being The Nice One. Which is fair enough: there is a £100,000 prize fund at the end, after all; and it’d be a bit naff to give it to someone inherently nasty just because they provided the most entertainment.

But if money was not involved, it’d be a different story: Gina Rio should absolutely have swept the board against Sam Evans and Dexter Koh last year, Deana Uppal should have trounced Luke Anderson in 2012 and… well, scroll through the gallery below to see more.

Have we missed any classics? And who do you want to win the 2014 run on Friday?

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was the subject of a last-minute fan campaign in Big Brother 7 to see her crowned winner, after providing the lion’s share of the entertainment in the later stages. There was, however, no stopping Pete Bennett (Photo: Channel 4)
