Beyonce Felt Liberated After Becoming a Mother

"Beyonce" Album Release Party at School of Visual Arts Theater in New York City on December 21, 2013

Beyonce, who recently dropped a surprise new album, has commented on her feelings towards motherhood. The singer admits that the whole experience has been incredibly liberating for her and she is glad that she could break free of her own personal issues and be completely herself:

”I’m very private and I’m very respectful, and I think it just took me no longer being someone’s child – once I became a mother, I felt like I could tear those fourth walls and I just felt like it was time. I completely feel liberated.”

Speaking on her newly released album, which has already broken an iTunes record after being released exclusively via the online platform, Beyonce admits she was at first quite frightened about the new release. She  feared that it could go badly but she found herself bored after her previous album and wanted something fresh to work on:

”I was terrified. I was so scared. I already envisioned like the worst things that could happen … Honestly I was at a point where I felt like, you know, everything feels the same. That’s how I felt and if I could not challenge that, then maybe it’s time for me to do something else or develop more artists, which is something I want to do.”
