Benedict Cumberbatch Thinks Fans Should Change Name To ‘Cumbercookies’ After Raising Feminism Issue
Benedict Cumberbatch recently admitted that he’s “concerned” about his ‘Cumberbitches’ and has said that he isn’t a huge fan of their choice of name and it now seems like the actor may be doing something about it, suggesting the name ‘Cumbercookies’ instead.
When a fan asked the Sherlock star what he thought of the new fan name in a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything web chat, he gave the user in question his seal of approval.
Benedict replied with a simple: “It’s great!”
He even came up with a few other suggestions, posting: “You could call yourself the Cumbergirls, and then when you come together you’d be a flock.
“Or you could call yourself the Cumbertadpoles and that way you’d be the Cumberspawn…Wait!…Ew! Don’t do that.”

The name change suggestions come after Benedict recently said that he’s worried that his fans are setting feminism back a few years.
“I’m a little disturbed because I think they set feminism back a few years!” the 37-year old said, according to Now magazine.
The actor plays WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in his latest movie The Fifth Estate and despite getting a lot of attention worldwide since he was rocketed into the showbiz world with Sherlock a few years ago, Benedict is still coming to terms with his popularity.
“It’s interesting and it’s something I’m processing. It’s new to me and I’m sure I’ll get used to it and find a way of dealing with it,” Benedict tells the Daily Mirror. “I find it kind of amusing, but I’m very flattered by it.”
