Ben Affleck ‘Welcome Back Any Time’ Las Vegas Casino Insists Following Card Counting Allegations
Ben Affleck was caught up in a gambling controversy this week after reports speculated that the movie star was banned from the blackjack tables at a Las Vegas casino.
Numerous reports claimed that the new Batman was stopped by security guards at a high rollers’ table and given a lifetime ban from the Hard Rock Casino, claims which have since been denied.
According to The Telegraph, hotel staff were “polite” to him, simply saying: “You are too good at the game”. Card counting is not illegal, but is considered valid grounds upon which to get a player banned.

As the reports hit headlines though a spokesperson for the hotel and casino spoke out, denying to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Affleck has been banned from the venue.
“Mr. Affleck, a valued guest of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is not banned from our property and is welcome back any time,” hotel spokeswoman Abigail Miller stated.
Miller did not say though if the Oscar winner would be allowed back at its gaming tables.
The 41-year-old is thought to have been on a break in the city with wife Jennifer Garner before heading off to start shooting his scenes as Batman in the Man Of Steel sequel.
