Anna Paquin Has Been Cut From the New X-Men Film

According to reports, Anna Paquin’s re-occurring role as Rogue has been cut from the upcoming X-Men film. Sadly, the team behind the film had to cut the part because they felt the only scene in which she stars was not necessary to include in the final cut. The film series usually stars  Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart and many more. Director Bryan Singer recently revealed that sadly, Anna’s part in new installment ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is no more but it will likely be released in the dvd version:

“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the Dvd so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.”

He admits that the cut scene is the only one in which Anna’s character was set to appear, so she now is no longer involved in the film which is due for release next year:

“Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”
