Andy Serkis Refuses To Reveal Star Wars Episode 7 Secrets: ‘We Are So Heavily Embargoed’
The cast of Star Wars Episode VII are reportedly being forced to keep everything top secret about the upcoming flick, with actor Andy Serkis dishing the dirt on just how tight the security is on set.
Andy appeared on Conan O’Brien’s talkshow this week and when he was asked to reveal some movie secrets, he admitted that he couldn’t even go to the toilet without leaving the script behind.
He told the host: “I’d love to tell you all about [Star Wars] but we are so heavily embargoed we can’t even go to the washroom with the script, there are CCTV cameras… I’m making it up but it kind of feels like that.”
Star Wars: Episode VII is expected for release in December 2015 and cast members were finally announced in April of this year.
Original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew will be joined by new additions to the cast, such as: John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.
Announcing the news in a statement, director J.J. Abrams said at the time: “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.
“We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
