Amy Winehouse To ‘Appear As A Hologram For World Tour?’

Amy Winehouse was never able to bring her music around the world on an official world tour while she was alive but it looks as though fans may be able to glimpse the late singer in another form as reports claim a hologram is in the works.

The ‘Rehab’ singer, who died in 2011 at the age of 27, was famous worldwide thanks to the success of her second album ‘Back To Black’ and while she had performed in many countries during her short life, Amy never actually embarked on an actual tour.

According to The Sun, that’s all set to change in a way as billionaire entrepreneur Alki David is reportedly in the process of creating a hologram in the form of Amy, similar to the illusion of Tupac Shakur which appeared during Dr. Dre’s performance at the Coachella Festival in 2012.

“The plan is that Amy will finally tour the world after failing to do so when she was alive,” a source told The Sun.

“With an orchestra and her hologram, she can take to the stage and fans can see her perform her legendary hits. The idea is in its early stages but it’s hoped that Amy’s dad Mitch will maybe join her and do the introductions.”

Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse has previously shared his thoughts on his late Grammy-winning daughter appearing as a hologram and he seemed more than happy to give the idea the thumbs up.

“The most important thing to Amy was the music and I’m sure a lot of people would like to hear her sing again,” Mitch told The Sun in 2012.

“It depends on what Amy’s fans want as a way to keep her memory alive. If it’s a book, an album or a hologram, then so be it.”
