Amy Childs & Harry Derbidge To Star In ‘The Simple Life’ Reboot

They don’t seem to be the sharpest knives in the drawer, which is perhaps why TV bosses have chosen former TOWIE airheads Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge to star in a UK version of The Simple Life, the reality show which originally shot Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton to worldwide fame.

Wittily renamed “The Simpleton Life“, the Channel 5 show will follow the same format as the original American series and it will see the ditzy Essex pair try to tackle a series of “tough” challenges that normal folk do every day, include living like local fishermen in the Outer Hebrides, mucking out on an American ranch and working in a Welsh coal mine – how will Harry cope with his tan mixing with coal dust?!

The glam reality stars have already got stuck into working at a Domino’s Pizza joint where they were seen in Dominos uniforms (including the cap!) serving up food in the fast-paced kitchen.

A source told The Sun: “The show will be just like The Simple Life but, dare I say it, even more ridiculous. Amy and Harry are not exactly known for their ability to do everyday tasks so it’s a car crash waiting to happen.

“In fairness, they are quite funny as a duo and bosses are hoping their daft chemistry will keep people entertained.”

Amy roped in her cousin and fellow TOWIE star Harry to star alongside her in The Simpleton Life, as first series of her solo reality show It’s All About Amy struggled in the ratings and was  axed.
