Amanda Wu Premieres “Does Tradition Exist In The 21st Century?”

As an astounding child prodigy, Amanda Yiyen, who goes by the name Amanda Wu, has had a connection to music since she was young and composed her first piece at the age of seven. Aged 8, 9 and 12, she proudly represented her home country of Taiwan through performances of original compositions in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia and within the following decade, she would go on to win an international piano competition established by the Montreal International Music Camp Canada.

Championed by AXS and Asian Pop Weekly, Wu has just released her new EP The Journey On Earth, Vol. 2, which showcases her unbelievable musical talents, intertwining jazz melodies with toe-tapping rhythms. It has often been said that more memories can be created via a piano than with any other instrument – Wu’s music is a strong, bold testament to that.

As she prepares for her EP release show at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York on Monday, EntertainmentWise are delighted to premiere her new track “Does Tradition Exist in the 21st Century?” which you can check out below.
