Amanda Seyfried Is Worried Her “Eggs Are Dying Off”

Amanda is only 29, but says she is feeling the pressure to start a family soon. The ‘Ted 2’ actress reveals that she has been thinking seriously about starting a family for the last few years and already feels her time might be running out. She says that she is desperate to be a mother:

“I keep feeling like my eggs are dying off. I need to get on it … I want a child. Badly. I want to be a mother, badly. That’s what I feel. I’ve been feeling it for like, two years. I’m not ready but nobody’s ready. It changes everything … so how you can ever be ready for that?”

Amanda also explained that after her famous role in ‘Mean Girls’ which was her big break, she was quickly typecast and sent similar job offers, but she wasn’t interested in being stuck playing the dumb blonde for her entire career:

“After Mean Girls I kept getting scripts for big-boobed blonde idiots. I could have so easily been Karen Smith my whole career. I realised that if I really wanted to work forever I was going to have to make the right decisions …. That’s why I’ve made some tough decisions too, I’ve turned down some pretty big stuff.”

She doesn’t want to get locked down to a superhero franchise because she thinks it would make her unhappy:

“I didn’t want to be an action hero or in a f***ing green suit for like, ten years, because I don’t want to be miserable. I think happiness comes from being free.”
