Adele To Make Acting Debut As A Villain In X-Men Director Matthew Vaughn’s New Film?
Adele is set to make her film debut in an upcoming espionage thriller by X-Men: First Class and Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughn, insiders suggest.
The Skyfall singer, 25, has already had a taste of the acting world when she made a cameo in Ugly Betty in 2009.
She also rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars earlier this year when she scooped an Oscar for her Bond theme, Skyfall.
Now the Someone Like You singer is apparently set to join the cast of The Secret Service – a British spy flick based on a graphic novel by Kick- Ass’ Mark Millar – alongside Samuel L Jackson and Colin Firth.

“Adele is exactly what Matthew is looking for,’ a source has told The Sun on Sunday amid rumours that Adele would be cast as a “bad girl.”
“He wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film’s cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise,” the source said.
However the rumour mill’s in overdrive once again and it’s thought David Beckham and Elton John have also signed up to play villains in the film, which is due for release in 2014.
While a spokesman for the singer has yet to confirm or deny the rumours, The Secret Service is due to begin filming later this year.
