‘Absolute Rubbish’: One Direction, Miley Cyrus & Justin Bieber Fans Reveal Anger After Grammy Nominations Snub

It’s the hottest and most anticipated event in the music calendar but the 2014 Grammy Awards has already angered many fans following the unveiling of the nominations with some of the biggest artists in pop snubbed from the list.

One Direction have scored the fastest-selling album of the year so far in the UK, Miley Cyrus has defied critics of her twerking antics when her ‘Bangerz’ album soared to number one and Justin Bieber has continued to clock up more number ones with his Music Mondays series however, they are all notably absent from the nominations list for next year’s ceremony, prompting a torrent of backlash from fans.

Also missing from the nominations list is Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande who recently scooped the Best New Artist at the American Music Awards and has wowed the music world this year with her debut album ‘Yours Truly,’ while her stunning vocals have drawn comparisons to those of Mariah Carey.

Justin Timberlake has also been snubbed from most of the major categories with his best-selling comeback album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ received nods in the Best Pop Vocal Album, Pop Solo Performance for ‘Mirrors’ and R&B song for ‘Pusher Love Girl.’

The 2014 Grammys will take place live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26. Check out the full winner’s list here.
