Simon Cowell, Nicki Minaj & Britney Spears – Meet The Highest Paid Reality TV Show Judges

Following the news that the wage bill for the host of celebrities sitting on the panel for the X Factor UK, is close to a cool £6 million, we decided to take a look at approximate and rumoured earnings of celebrities who have been cashing in just by sitting in a chair (swiveling or not) and judging talent.

It appears that sitting on a panel and either praising or criticising a person’s vocal abilities is a lucrative job as Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera have found appearing on reality TV talent shows American Idol and The Voice respectively….

1. Simon Cowell – (net) £225 million

Well, we’re not too surprised by this figure as Mr Cowell is the reality TV judge supremo. Having sat on the American Idol judging panel for a number of years, he moved to the X Factor UK and Britain’s Got Talent and most recently made his face known to those auditioning for the X Factor USA.

2. Mariah Carey – $18 million

With Jennifer Lopez off the panel, Mariah Carey gladly stepped in to replace her on the panel for American Idol and for doing so, the star is reportedly receiving a cool $18 million for her efforts. Lucky for some!

3. Howard Stern – $15 million

Known for speaking his mind, Howard Stern has taken to his role on America’s Got Talent with $15 million in his pocket for his troubles.

4. Britney Spears – $15 million

Britney made her way onto the X Factor USA last year and whilst she only stayed for one season, managed to reportedly secure a good deal to sit alongside Simon, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid.

5. Christina Aguilera – $10 million

Who knew that the red spinning chairs could be so lucrative but they are, especially for Christina who is earning a fair bit of dosh for her role as a coach and mentor on The Voice.

6. Nicki Minaj – $8 million

Whilst she reportedly may not be getting the same amount as her American Idol counterpart Mariah Carey, Nicki is still getting a hefty sum to hopefully be impressed by the talent she sees throughout the competition.

7. Adam Levine – $100,000 per episode

The Maroon 5 crooner has a successful career as a musician and now the star has a more than successful career as a reality TV show judge after allegedly earning 100,000 big ones for each show that he does on The Voice.

8. Carrie Ann Inaba – $75,000 per episode.

The Dancing With The Star judge gets to watch and critique a whole host of celebrities on a daily basis. We’d love to have her job!
