Pregnant Kate Middleton Nominated For Celebrity Mum Of The Year 2013

Foxy Bingo’s shortlist for Celebrity Mum of the Year 2013 included a surprise twist when it was unveiled earlier this week – because three names on the list are yet to give birth.

Familiar faces from the world of music, fashion, entertainment and sport make up the 18-strong list of contenders for this year’s crown, amongst them a trio of expectant mums – presenter Fearne Cotton, Paralympic gold medallist Sarah Storey and British Royal Kate Middleton, who announced her pregnancy last year.

The annual list – compiled by the general public – sees new mum Adele leading the nominations following the birth of her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki in October.

Other favourites for the crown include Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden and Loose Women star Andrea Mclean, a mum of two whose marriage to second husband Steve Toms came to an end last year.

In the wake of last year’s Olympic triumph the list also sees high achievers and aspirational working mum’s take centre stage ahead of the obligatory reality TV stars of old, with non-celebrity Debbie Daley – mother of professional diver and Splash! star Tom – taking a spot for her nurturing of the 18-year old Olympian.

Mothers who have battled against adversity over the last 12-months have also been recognized by the general public, with Colleen Rooney – whose younger sister Rosie tragically died last year – nominated alongside former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, who underwent a double mastectomy after learning that she had an 80 percent chance of developing breast cancer.

Other famous faces on this year’s list include Victoria Beckham and her former Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton, Steps star Claire Richards, This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby and Myleene Klass, who split with her long term partner in 2012.

The winner will be voted for through and will be announced shortly before Mother’s Day in March.
