‘No One Would Help Us’: Heidi Klum ‘Disappointed’ By Bystanders Who Photographed Son Henry Drowning

Heidi Klum has shared her surprise that no one helped during the terrifying moment her son Henry nearly on a family holiday in Oahu, Hawaii over the Easter weekend.

The supermodel was forced to jump into action after the seven-year-old was knocked down by a riptide while he was in the sea, which also hit two of the star’s nannies.

Luckily the tot was able to avoid disaster because of his strong swimming abilities, while Heidi’s bodyguard-turned-boyfriend Martin Kristen was also on hand to help with the rescue mission. Photos of the scary incident showed the couple pulling the group out of the sea.

Speaking on the recent ordeal, the mother-of-four initially told Entertainment Tonight: “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water.”

She later admitted to People magazine that she was far from being a hero and simply done what any mother in the same situation would have done. “Henry swam out of it. I grabbed him at the shore. The nannies were the ones in much deeper trouble,” she revealed.

But while the 39-year-old admits the incident looked far worse than it actually was, she expressed her disappointment at the lack of help and empathy from bystanders who instead of assisting with the rescue took out their phones to capture it.

“The family was surprised that we were being photographed and no one would come help us. These photos taken recently look much worse that it really was that day.”
