Kate Middleton Left In Tears At Wimbledon As Prince William Ditches Her For The Beach

Prince William is obviously no tennis fan as the future King passed up the opportunity to watch Andy Murray attempt to become the first British Wimbledon champ in 76 years to go surfing with his brother Harry.

The Duke of Cambridge reportedly claimed he had an “existing commitment” that would prevent him attending the final with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton according to the Mail Online, who instead took along sister Pippa instead for a coveted seat in the Royal Box.

Kate might have needed her husband though as she began tearing up during Andy Murray’s emotional speech following his loss. The Scottish player addressed the Centre Court and couldn’t hold back the tears as he thanked them for their support, leaving the future Queen a misty eyed.

Her 30 year-old husband was far happier and during the time of the final was reportedly seen frolicking around with Prince Harry on a public beach in Cornwall and had a great day as he caught some waves with his brother. William seems to be quite the water fan after he also went surfing for his stag do.

The princes showed off their trim bodies in the black westsuits and had pretty big grins on their faces as they enjoyed a little sunshine. There was less sunshine in London though, as Murray failed to take the title, losing out to six times champion Roger Federer who matched Pete Sampras’ record seven Wimbledon titles.

The Middleton family are known to be huge tennis fans and have all been seen at SW19 throughout the championship. But clearly one day of tennis was enough for William, after as he let wife Kate go it alone!
