Taylor Swift might have appeared to mock ex-boyfriend Harry Styles with her faux English accent during her Grammy Award opening performance on Sunday night, but don’t expect the One Direction star to fire back as the hunk has reportedly been told by his bandmates to leave the “media circus” to his ex.
Swift appeared to fake an English accent when playing the role of her begging ex boyfriend during a performance of her hit, ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ which immediately set tongues wagging about whether it was aimed at Harry, who she broke up with last month.
While the stunt has thrust Taylor back into the spotlight for her colourful love life, RadarOnline claims Harry won’t be sinking to her level.
“The lads have told Harry to forget about retaliating, because it’s just not worth it,” a source claimed.
“They’ve all advised him to be the bigger person and not to wash his dirty laundry in public – it’s just tacky and embarrassing.”
It seems the 1D lads weren’t exactly keen on the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ star, who is as famous for her love life as she is for her music.
The insider claimed: “With the media circus that surrounded Harry and Taylor when they were together, the boys were a little miffed that it distracted fans from the band and what they were all about.”
“Of course, when it didn’t work out, there was a sense of relief because they knew that, along with Harry, they could all move on.”
While the stunt appears to have been designed to make fun of the British star, it seems the mocking of Harry could’ve actually back fired on Swift, as she appears unable to let go of their romance and move on.
“It’s only Taylor now that seems to clinging on to their failed relationship, and Harry has been told to keep his thoughts private,” they added.
Since the split Harry has been spotted out on a string of nights out looking super happy with friends. He clearly isn’t worrying about his ex!
