Speculation over whether Simon Cowell will be returning to the X Factor may be ongoing but the mystery surrounding Simon’s return to Britain’s Got Talent has been solved following the confirmation that the media mogul will rejoin David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden on the panel.
“Happy” to be back on the show, which saw Ashleigh and her dancing dog Pudsey win the show last year, Simon said:
“I loved doing the show last year, the new panel worked really well and I’m very happy they have all agreed to come back. Last year was a special year for talent and I hope that in 2013, off the back of an amazing year for Britain, we find another global star.”

Meanwhile, longest standing judge Amanda Holden added in the statement: “I’m thrilled to be back on Britain’s Got Talent. It’s the best fun ever and I love it! I’m not even going to try to be cool about the fact that I’m back! I’m over the moon!”
Alesha Dixon who was controversially poached from the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing revealed that she was looking forward to returning to the show for a second year.
She said: “We had an incredible series in what has been a fantastic year for Great Britain, the talent blew us all away and I can’t wait to see what delights neat year brings.”
And the bromance between Simon and David Walliams is set to continue after the Little Britain star said:
“My Simon and I are going to be together again. I’m delighted to confirm I will be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent again next year. I am so happy I could cry.”
