Since Justin Bieber joked that he is planning to retire after his new collection of ‘Journals’ drops next week, Twitter has been left in shock at the youngster’s announcement.
While some Beliebers are questioning whether the teen sensation was joking or not when he made the announcement, many have accepted the news as the truth and given some pretty shocking reactions on the micro-blogging site. However, not all music fans are sad about Justin’s plans…
Since the 19-year-old made the comments during an interview with US radio station Power 106 FM, fans have been taking to Twitter in their droves to express their shock. While Beliebers are incredibly upset by the thought of their idol quitting music for good, others are actually pretty happy, posting funny comments and witty putdowns on the social networking site.
@celebnellz is one of the many fans currently in shock, posting: “Retiring ? Justin Bieber I will slap you,” while @DahBieberWorld begged the ‘Boyfriend’ star to clarify his comments. “I actually wanna bloody cry in class cos am hearing that justin is retiring from music :'( @justinbieber is it true?:(,” they wrote.
Justin recently finished his Music Mondays project and is currently preparing to release the ‘Journals’ album, which features each of his Music Monday releases and five other new tracks. But as debate rages on as to whether the singer was joking or if the album really will be his last, plenty of people are already celebrating the news, including @D_Martin90 who wrote: “Justin Bieber has retired! Christmas has come early!”
@LesTunes is another music fan who thinks Justin should stop recording songs, writing: “This is just teasing us into thinking that the pain will stop” while @schierneckeretc slammed the megastar’s tracks. “Surely before Justin Bieber can quit music he has to make music,” he wrote. Ouch!
Fans will have to wait until the full interview airs on Power 106 FM later today to learn more about the US singer’s plans. The ‘Beauty And A Beat’ singer is currently busy promoting the EP and his latest concert movie ‘Believe’, which hits cinemas in the US on Christmas Day.
‘Journals’ will be available to purchase on iTunes between December 3 and January 2.
