KT Tunstall has admitted to being left homeless following her divorce earlier this month with the singer revealing that she no longer has the majority of her possessions including their marital home.
The 37-year-old ended her marriage to drummer Luke Bullen this year with her “unreasonable behaviour” allegedly playing a part in their divorce, which was finally granted to them this month in just 80 seconds, according to the MailOnline.
However, it appears KT’s fresh start is already plagued with obstacles as the Scottish singer admits she has nothing to her name.
“I felt like the biggest rock ‘n’ roll cliché. I had everything I wanted – money in the bank, a career, a marriage, a house – and I wasn’t happy,” KT told the Daily Mail.
“And now I don’t have a lot of those things. All my big possessions are gone. I don’t have a house, or a car, I’m not sure where I’m going to live.”
Despite the heartbreaking split, KT is looking to the bright side and is remaining optimistic about her future as a single woman once again.
“I’m not scared any more. I’m not anxious about always doing the right thing,” KT said.
“All the boxes ticked but I wasn’t happy. Clearly, in my subconscious I understood what was going on. I don’t have what I had – but I know I feel happier.”
KT and Luke began dating in 2003 and she later hired him as her drummer before tying the knot on the Isle of Skye in 2008.
In their divorce proceedings, Luke admitted that he and KT had not lived together in six months while a judge said the singer “behaved in such a way that the petitioner [Bullen] cannot reasonably be expected to live with the respondent [Tunstall].”
