Angelina Jolie commented that Brad puts a lot of effort in to perfecting his photography work: “I love his photography. Some people have a hobby, and they find the quickest way to it and are very pleased with the outcome right away. But he’s someone who will really study the camera – he’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it. And he’s very critical of his own work. I’ll see a photograph and think it’s amazing, but he’ll see all the different reasons why it can be better, and he’ll work very, very hard to improve it.”
Drew is very passionate about photography and would love to work more on it: “I’d like to work on my book of photography. I’ve been taking photos for like 10 years so that’s a goal for this year. Even if I just start it… Everything is just a mess and I need to archive it all. So I’d like to focus on my photography.”
Josh has always been fascinated by beautiful photos: “Photography inspires me. I wanted to go to university to study painting. When I was 13-years-old, I saw a picture of Michael Stipe in Rolling Stone that was really well lit – it was then I became interested in portraiture.”
Liv says she is constantly snapping photos: “Obsessively, I have thousands of pictures on my phone. Why am I so fascinated with capturing moments? I’ll tell you why. Because I’ve had so much change in my life. My whole life things have changed constantly so psychologically I’m sure I’m quite sentimental. I want to remember the feeling, not only what it looks like. When it’s happening, it’s so wonderful but I know it’s gonna change or not gonna last. Everything changes so I want to remember it because I feel grateful for it.”
Musician Patti Smith has had her own photography exhibition. Speaking on her style, she commented: “They have a 19th-century feel about them because that’s what I gravitate toward. I’m a master of my camera… I’ve been taking photographs since I was a teenager. My camera has been my friend, and it’s been all over the world with me.”
