5 Celebrities Who Don’t Often Wear Makeup

Admitting that they rarely apply makeup themselves if they’re at home during time off, these 5 celebrities say the only time they wear makeup is when it’s required for their job,  they’re attending event or going on a night out. Preferring to let their skin breathe and believing a natural look is more flattering and real, these stars all say they don’t often apply makeup before they step out and they’re happy with the way they look makeup free.

Megan Fox

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Megan doesn’t wear makeup at home: “I don’t wear make-up when I’m not working, unless I’m going on a date with my husband. Then, I’ll do a dewy tinted moisturiser with a lip gloss and tons of mascara. I have a lot of mascara. I wash my face and moisturise twice a day with Epicuren Discovery’s Bulgarian Rose Otto and apply Perricone MD’s Vitamin C Ester Eye Serum a few times a day. I don’t wear sunscreen, because I feel like I’m allergic to the chemicals in it. I stay out of the sun as much as possible and always wear hats.”

Claire Danes
65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Press Room

Claire only wears makeup for work: “I don’t typically wear make-up during the day. I’m so accustomed to wearing makeup in my work – it’s probably the reason why I am less inclined to wear make-up in life. I’m pretty low-maintenance, which is another reason why Latisse is so great, I can afford to be lazier – it does all the work for me.”

Nicole Richie
41st Annual American Music Awards - Arrivals

Nicole says she doesn’t even know how to do makeup: “I actually don’t know how to put on makeup – at all. I have to get it done every time I want to wear makeup. I do not know how to wear it at all. It’s so bad. I don’t even own it. I only own under-eye concealer, Maybelline mascara, and an eyelash curler.”

Rooney Mara
51st Annual New York Film Festival Closing Night - "Her: A Spike Jones Love Story" - Arrivals

Rooney prefers a natural look: ”For me, natural beauty is something I’ve always been drawn to. I still don’t really wear make-up in my everyday life and I would be horrible at even trying to do it to myself!

Halle Berry
44rd Annual NAACP Image Awards - Arrivals

Halle likes to let her skin breathe: ”I hardly ever wear make-up. I like to give my skin a break – let it breathe. It’s cleansing your skin, watching what you eat, no smoking, not too much drinking, no sugar – just simple. And using sunscreen! If you don’t have a good base, then it doesn’t matter what you put on it – it’s not going to look as great as it could.”
