5 Celebrities Speak on Living Out of a Suitcase

Living life on the road or just wanting to ditch their possessions, these 5 stars have all lived out of suitcases for a prolonged period of time. Constantly on the move, these stars say they didn’t have a place to call home and instead just had bags with all of their worldly goodies inside. Learning not to grow attached to what they own, these stars took something away from the experience of being without a proper home.

Danielle Peck

Danielle lived out of a suitcase to experience life: “Once I started writing, I knew I wanted to get back in the studio to make an album. And once we got into the album, I couldn’t wait to get back on the road. I love living in that bubble – different city every day, living out of a suitcase. I’ve got a gypsy heart. I love to travel.”

Shailene Woodley

Shailene says she intentionally ditched most of her possessions: “I cruised and I hung out with my friends and family. I got rid of everything I owned. I got rid of my cell phone, and I fit my life into a carry-on suitcase and I just couch surfed for two months. It was awesome.”

Naomie lived out of a suitcase for several years and learned not to be attached: ”I’m always trying to declutter. I once lived out of a suitcase for three years because I didn’t want to become attached to anything.”
