The sun is finally out, so what better way to celebrate than get your tents out and head down to the very special Strummer of Love festival.
The one-off Summer music festival to mark the tenth anniversary of iconic Clash frontman Joe Strummer has been given the go-ahead to take place in August.
The Strummer of Love Festival, which features The Pogues, Badly Drawn Boy, Frank Turner, Seasick Steve and Billy Bragg, is due to take place between August 17 and 19 at a secret venue in the Blackdown Hills.
Charity director Trish Whelan said: “The Strummer Of Love festival is something we have been working on for a long time here at Strummerville, and holding it in Somerset was always paramount.''
"Joe loved these hills and it’s where he spent the last years of his life.''
"Of course, we are delighted to work with the local community to make this a very special all-inclusive event and a fantastic celebration.
