They’ve taken the US by storm and have an army of protective female fans willing to kill for a bit of time with them, as well as any potential girlfriend, but now One Direction are setting their sights on the beauty industry.
The mischievous British boyband have earned around £100 million in the past two years ever since losing the X Factor, thanks to their legion of loyal supporters and sponsorship deals, not to mention their hit singles.
And now the heartthrobs are set to catapult their earnings by following in the footsteps of fellow teenage starlet Justin Bieber, by launching their very own fragrance.
1D, who consist of Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne will branch out into the world of fragrance with their new floral scent, designed to appeal to their predominantly female teenage fan base.
"One Direction are working on releasing a scent, it's all super secret right now," a source revealed to Marie Claire.
"It's going to be a sweet scent, definitely floral too,’’ they continued.

But when it comes to the packaging of the product, the boyband won’t have any time to create individual packaging like fellow X Factor group JLS.
"There will only be one box based on the short production time, so there won't be different options as there are with the JLS version," the source explained.
"All other details are under lock and key, but it's due on shelves July 2013."
The boys are currently promoting their second album Take Me Home, which is due for release next month and features their new single 'Live While We’re Young'.
