It has been estimated that Kate Middleton’s clothing has cost Prince Charles £35,000 since the beginning of the year, yet new reports have unveiled that the sum in fact comes in at a staggering £105,000.
The MailOnline investigated the cost of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe and added up the price of ensembles she has worn over the past 12 months, to be shocked that the price tag would be in six figures.
And whilst generous Prince Charles will have footed the bill for the outfits Kate has donned at official functions, it hasn’t been established who has covered the rest of the costly clothes bill. We wonder if she’s being sent these high-end designer pieces to promote brands…
The astonishing cost of Kate’s clothes comes as a surprise when the British economy is in such turmoil and many people are going without daily essentials just to get by.
But at least we’ve found out the real reason for Kate’s consistent recycling!
Some examples of her pricey garms include a £795 grey Katherine Hooker coat she wore over a £6,000 Jenny Packham dress, her stunning £2,246 lilac belted Alexander McQueen gown she wore to a red carpet Hollywood event and her £1,220 Emilia Wickstead baby pink wool dress she’s sported on a few occasions recently including The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee garden party.
Nevertheless, the Duchess is an inspiration to women across the country, and surely she's a boost for the national economy?
