Megasuperstar Justin Bieber is her boyfriend, so she has to keep appearances to some extent. And stunning songstress Selena Gomez did just that when she wowed onlookers in a sizzling gold dress at the MuchMusic Awards last night.
The 19-year-old walked the red carpet on her own, however, eschewing beau Justin to strut her stuff solo. And she looked coolly confident as she oozed sexiness in the dazzling gold mini dress made of sequins and detailed with thin straps. And look at those endless pins!
She teamed the look with matching gold strappy sandal heels and left out the accessories – she was dripping in enough sparkle already. Selena wore her brunette locks in loose, casual waves, adding to her nonchalant attitude on the red carpet, and sported a smoking hot make-up look of orange lippy and a dark grey smokey eye.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry went for a rather different look, opting for a super-hero inspired black and gold bloor length gown that looked pretty… powerful.
The 27-year-old Firework singer looked like one not to be messed with as she donned the statement semi sheer frock, detailed with a lace gold halterneck pulled fiercly into a snakeskin leatherette bodice which tapered into a mini skirt and sheer layers. That certainly speaks 'action figure' to us...

And Katy topped off the comic book look with a purple and black straightened barnet complete with a block fringe and a fully made-up complexion. Superhuman!
