Celebrities and fashionistas alike have gone crazy over Victoria Beckham’s range of signature VB dresses, and the former Spice Girl even won Designer Brand of the Year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards.
It will come as little surprise to many that the 38-year-old fashion obsessive is planning to grow her fashion empire, and she has revealed her desire to open a flagship store in London, as well as expand her brand into Asia.
Speaking on CNN, Victoria explained: “People say, 'Am I going to have my own store?' I would love to. That's what I'm working on at the moment.”
Adding: “It would probably be in London, but in the not-too-distant future maybe it will be Hong Kong. Who knows?”
Currently the Victoria Beckham label is sold through luxury department stores and e-boutiques including Net-a-Porter, but the mother-of-four wants to take ownership over her rapidly expanding fashion brand, although she is also wary of growing too fast.
She revealed: “I'm just scratching the surface at the moment. I want take baby steps with this business; I don't want to run before I can walk.”
The Victoria Beckham brand, which includes separates and luxury handbags priced up to £18,000, generated sales in excess of £15 million in 2011, and was up by 70 per cent on the previous year.
