Karl Lagerfeld has stated that Adele is "a little too fat" for his liking, although he does admit that she has a "beautiful face" as well as complimenting her voice.
The outspoken designer was asked his thoughts about the girl of the moment - Lana Del Rey, when he compared the 'Video Games' singer to other female artists that he prefers.
While guest editing Metro New York, the head of Chanel said: "I prefer Adele and Florence Welch [to Del Rey]. But as a modern singer, she is not bad."
Talking about the 'Someone Like You' singer, who was recently lined up to cover US Vogue, he continued: "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants."
While the NBC were apologising for M.I.A.'s middle finger salute during her performance at the Super Bowl, Lagerfeld wasn't too fussed.
"Nowadays people give the middle finger quite quickly - it's not the best behaviour. Everybody does that, what's new about that? It's just become a bad habit."
