We all like to treat ourselves every now and again. A new pair of shoes just because we've had a bad day or, perhaps, that All Saints dress you've had your eye on for months. The Olsen twins, however, have taken the word 'splurge' and catapulted it to a whole new level.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have just released their new handbag range for The Row at Barneys in US. Within the collection, a crocodile backpack retailing at a staggering $35,000 (approx £22,000)!
Despite the steep price tag, Barney's fashion director Amanda Brooks, seems the think the bags will fly off the shelves due to its likeness in quality to the luxurious brand Hermès.
Brooks says...
“Obviously we don’t carry Hermès bags in the store so we were trying to find something that appeals to that customer who is willing to spend a lot of money on a bag that’s going to last a long time and has a classic design...
"I think if you were every going to spend $35,000 on a bag, that’s the bag you should buy because I think you’d wear it for a really long time.”
We're not sure we'll be raiding out piggy banks any time soon!
