It was the biggest night of Anne Hathaway's career on Sunday as she scooped the Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Les Miserables' but the star's pink Prada gown raised a more than a few eyebrows as she arrived on the red carpet, as on her most important night she ditched favoured desinger Valentino.
The actress is barely out of the Italian designer’s gowns, who even made a custom made wedding dress for the brunette when she tied the knot with Adam Shulman last October, and the house even announced before hand they were dressing her, so why swap Valentino for Parda pink?

According to Fashionista.com, the star “freaked out” when she saw Les Mis co-star Amanda Seyfried's very similar Alexander McQueen gown and enlisted celeb stylist Rachel Zoe to track her down another dress just hours before the ceremony.

The actress admitted herself to problems over her wardrobe, telling Women's Wear Daily on the red carpet: “I didn’t know what I was wearing until two hours ago.”
Let's hope the last minute switch didn't embarrass Hathaway's favourite designer, who can't have been pleased they were ditched after publicly announcing they were dressing the star.

Anne has long been a close friend of Valentino accompanying her to the Oscars in 2011 when she wore one of his red gowns. He even claimed the star was like family who when confirming he designed her wedding dress last year, saying: "She's a very good friend of mine. She's like my daughter."
Hopefully he's feeling forgiving.
