'The Artist's breakout pooch sensation Uggie will not be attending the Academy Awards, a representative for the Weinstein Company has confirmed.

The dog has shot to stardom since the release of the film, which is nominated for 10 awards at the ceremony later this month.

"Uggie has not been asked to participate or appear at the Oscars," the spokesperson told Reuters.

Reports that he will appear in a pre-taped sketch with presenter Billy Crystal have also been denied.

'The Artist' cleaned up at the BAFTAs at the weekend, with prizes including Best Director (Michel Hazanavicius), Original Screenplay and Actor (Jean Dujardin).

Dujardin has since replaced George Clooney as the bookmakers' tip to be handed the accolade at the Oscars as well.

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters, Khloé was the first to the altar after marrying basketball star Lamar Odom in 2009. It was a whirlwind 30-day courtship followed by a flashy Hollywood wedding, and they have since have had their every move filmed for their reality show Khloé & Lamar, which is about to start its second season.

Although the reality couple seem like they have everything, the one thing they are missing is a baby, and there has been much speculation as to why the young couple have not yet added to the Kardashian clan.

In a trailer for the new series of their reality show, Khloé is seen discussing her sister Kourtney’s second pregnancy with Lamar and asks him if he is jealous, to which he replies: "Yeah, they get to have another baby and I don't."

During an appearance this morning on NBC’s Today show, Khloé discusses the clip and her upset at not yet being able to get pregnant.

The reality star said: "It's always on the plan for Lamar and I to start a family, but when I heard that (comment) it really broke my heart because I didn't think he felt that way.

"We definitely want kids but we really are just like when it happens it happens."

Khloé added: "There are so many rumours out there that I'm doing all these fertility treatments. Yesterday I actually got sent all these bouquets of flowers - which was so sweet - to my condo in Dallas and then I read the card and it's from three different fertility treatments saying, 'I hope you try us out!'"

Last month the reality star dismissed rumours that she was looking into fertility treatments, taking to Twitter to tell the world that her and Lamar are currently trying to get pregnant "the old-fashioned way."

Khloé moved to Texas with her basketball star husband when he was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks last year.

Emeli Sande and DJ Fresh are on course to be handed Number 1 accolades this weekend, as their new releases lead the week-to-date best-seller lists.

Sande's debut LP Our Version Of Events is due to replace Lana Del Rey's Born To Die at No. 1 on the album chart, while its latest cut 'Next To Me' is set to debut at No. 2 on the singles chart behind DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now'.

Also in this week's album update, as announced by Greg James on Radio 1 this afternoon, Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits collection charges back into the list at No. 7, while Rebecca Ferguson's Heaven returns to the Top 10 at No. 8 in its 11th week on sale and Adele's 19 returns to the Top 20 at No. 11 following her clean sweep at the Grammys.

As revealed by The Official Charts Company yesterday, a handful of Houston's tracks return to the Top 40, with 'I Will Always Love You' leading the charge at No. 10 and 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' not far behind at No. 14.

The current No. 1, Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know', is due to slip to No. 3.

The final charts will be announced on Sunday.

Liam Hemsworth has come to the defence of girlfriend Miley Cyrus following her recent marijuana controversy.

The singer was filmed at her 19th birthday party joking, 'You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake.'

The video soon went viral and earned the former Disney star some unwanted press attention.

Long term boyfriend Liam was upset about the incident, telling Details, "She's in a room full of her best friends and you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous."

Miley had previously been filmed smoking the substance Salvia - which was legal at the time - which earned her the nickname 'Bob Miley' among her friends.

The couple met on the set of The Last Song in 2009 and Liam says the film was key in getting the pair together.

"What happened happened, and we've been together two and a half years," Hemsworth says.

"She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something."

Liam is now staring in the film adaptation of The Hunger Games which is out March 23.

Jodie Marsh has denied having a relationship with controversial Take Me Out "star" Damion Merry, who put off a huge amount of the female contestants when a friend claimed he dated her.

A clip of Damion's cringe-worthy stint on the show has pulled in over 1.2 million views on YouTube.

Chelsea Stewart, who landed a date with him, said she was "taking one for the team" when she, by default, ended up being the last girl standing.

Appearing on This Morning today, Marsh rejected the notion that she dated the failed lothario, quipping of his apparent death threats: "One of them was from me!"

She said: "We had pictures in a nightclub, he sold the pictures to the TV show or whoever and gave them away. And now it's being told that we had a whole full-blown relationship and that I was his ex-girlfriend, this, that and the other."

The bodybuilder also added: "I kissed him on the lips - and that's it - we're married and having kids! So obviously I knew from that one date that he wasn't my ideal man, let's say, and now I'm getting stick from this show and from people going, 'Oh my God, I can't believe you went out with that guy, he's so hideous'. I didn't go out with him!"

Johnny Depp's habit of buying new homes have got tongues wagging yet again, and now just weeks after reportedly purchasing a UK home, the actor has bought a new Hollywood mansion.

'The Rum Diaries' actor has bought a new home and its surrounding properties in the Hollywood Hills, and he doesn't know whether he'll be sharing it with his partner Vanessa Paradis yet.

Depp has had a studio built and he hopes to spend more time in the studio, as well as focusing on his own record label.

A source has told Showbiz Spy: “Johnny owns a few properties but he’s investing a lot of time and money into his new Hollywood home in a bid to settle there."

The couple have often spent time in France away from the limelight, so Hollywood is a bold move by Depp, and the insider continued: “Whether that’s as a single man or with his family is not clear yet. But what is obvious is how much time he’s going to dedicate to music.”

Earlier this year, we reported that the actor was unsure whether to attend the upcoming Oscars because of the issues with Vanessa.

“Johnny feels he can’t win,” an insider close to Depp has said. “If he turns up with Vanessa it just looks like they are trying to make a point of being seen together while if Johnny goes on his own it furthers the rumours. Johnny is now unlikely to go to the Oscars at all.”

Bobby Brown has released a statement re-iterating his plea for the media to give daughter Bobbi Kristina privacy while she comes to terms with her mother's death.

Whitney Houston was found lifeless on Saturday (February 11), prompting only child Bobbi to be hospitalised as she struggled to cope with the news.

"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," said Brown. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."

A representative for the New Edition star has also appeared to reject rumours that he has been banned from Whitney's funeral on Saturday (February 18).

Speaking to OnTheRedCarpet, they said: "Any report or statement that does not originate from my office about Bobby Brown or his representatives, is not authorised by Bobby Brown. We cannot focus on gossip at this difficult time."

Brown was married to Houston for 15 years, before they eventually divorced in 2007.

Adele might be eating her words after she revealed that she wanted a five year break from music, especially as she said that Beyonce was a huge inspiration and made her want to do things.

The 'Someone Like You' singer said that the new mum was "beautiful" and is "ridiculously talented".

While Adele wanted to settle down, Beyonce has a marriage, a new baby and she's already planning a tour!

Talking to US Vogue, the 23-year-old spoke of her love for the 'Love On Top' singer. "She's been a huge and constant part of my life as an artist since I was about 10 or 11. I love how all of her songs are about empowerment."

Adele continued: "Even when she's married and Jay-Z put a ring on it, she released 'Single Ladies'. Go get yours. Go get what you deserve. I think she's really inspiring.

"She's ridiculously talented, and she is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She makes me want to do things with my life."

Having walked out of the Geordie Shore house after a showdown with Gaz, we wondered where Charlotte Letitia Crosby has got to...And it appears as though we didn't need to look far after she was spotted out on a night out in London.

Joining Charlotte as she partied the night away in Aura Dressed to impress on Valentine's night, Charlotte braved the cold and opted for a blue mini dress with a long train. Sophie, who celebrated her birthday in last night's episode, went for a black mini dress, with yellow lines down the front.

Despite having had issues with their love life on the show, both ladies appeared to have been treated to Valentine's Day gifts with Charlotte being pictured holding a toy dog and Sophie, a bag of roses.

A representative for Justin Timberlake has flattened speculation that his alleged fiancee Jessica Biel is expecting his baby.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton had set tongues wagging by writing on his blog Perezitos that the golden couple could have a bun in the oven.

"For some reason Justin took time out of his busy schedule to accompany his wifey-to-be to the UCLA Medical Center earlier last week," he said. "The couple looks relaxed, though Timberlake could NOT stop looking at a mysterious piece of paper he was hold. (sic)"

He added: "SHE'S GONNA HAVE HIS BAYBAY!!"

However, speaking to Gossip Cop, a source close to the 'Cry Me A River' star insisted the report is "not true".

It was also speculated last week that the notoriously private couple have already met with a wedding planner.

Kim Kardashian doesn't have a man of her own, but has always spoken of her desire to start a family of her own but now, it could be that she actually gets pregnant for her sister Khloe.

The Kardashians are incredibly close and Khloe has constantly been dogged with speculation about whether she can't get pregnant naturally, and now Kim has revealed that Khloe jokes about her older sister becoming a surrogate.

In an interview with Allure magazine, the 31-year-old said: "My sister] Khloe joked with me and said, 'Will you be my surrogate?'"

The reality star, who filed for divorce from husband Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage, said that she does think about having a baby but might just concentrate on work for now.

"Do I want kids of my own? Absolutely. But I don't know if that's what's meant for me. Maybe I'll just work, work, work, and not think about it," she said.

Kim is currently working overtime as damage control following her split with the NBA star, from which she suffered a nasty backlash.

She also added: "I said, 'I think I have a couple more years when I just want my body to myself. At 35, I promise I'll consider it.'"

In the new issue of Allure, Kim also admits that she's reconsidered the way that she will go about a new relationship in future.

She said: "[The experience has] definitely made me want to be more private with my relationship, whenever I choose to get into one again. I'm not ready, but when that time comes, I'll be more cautious about who I let my world open up to."

Mel C has said that she is a huge fan of X Factor winners Little Mix, saying they remind her of The Spice Girls.

Little Mix have often spoke about their admiration for the 90's girlband and style their attitude on that of the '2 Become 1' hitmakers. With that in mind, Mel C's comments during an appearance on Lorraine this morning will surely make them happy.

Asked about her thoughts on the girls, Mel C said: "I love them. What I love about these girls is they've got fantastic voices, they're really talented, but they look like young girls. They're not uber sexy, uber glam, they're really good positive role models, which we don't have that many of.

Adding: "They remind me of the Spice Girls in that way, because they're really fun and young and I think that's what pop music should be about. It's kind of got a bit too serious and a little bit too sexy at times."

Asked what advice she would hand out to Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Ann and Jade, Mel said: "My advice to them would be enjoy it, enjoy every minute, because it doesn't last forever," she said. "When you're in the middle of it, you don't think of the future.

"You get so busy and you can get weighed down with the all pressures - just enjoy it. It's a fairytale, it's a dream come true for so many young girls."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Entertainmentwise, Marcus Collins revealed he thinks The X Factor 'needed' a girlband like Little Mix to triumph.

Janet Jackson has spoken about her feelings following the devastating loss of her friend Whitney Houston.

Janet, 45 and Whitney, 48 were pop contemporaries and the tragic news has hit the 'All For You' singer hard.

Speaking on Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show in the states, Janet said, “I couldn’t believe it. Immediately I started shaking. I was trying to text everyone that I knew to let them know and I was speechless. I could not believe it.”

Continuing, “It’s very, very devastating and I pray for her and her family, even Bobby [Brown].”

Janet went to speak about the Whitney's undeniable talent.

“Incredible. She was known as the voice. When she would open her mouth and this instrument would come out, you would obviously understand why."

During their time spent dominating the charts the pair became friends. She was such a sweet, sweet soul, especially back in the early ’80s and early ’90s is when I connected with Whitney the most. It didn't matter if we were doing an awards show, we would always take the time out to find one another."

Like many, Janet's thoughts are especially with Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Comparing it with the loss of her brother Michael, a grief stricken Janet said, "It's a very, very tough time. I lost my brother, she lost her mother. There’s still a difference, even though there’s a still a loss to a family."

Adding, "I don’t know what that’s like being so young. It was hard for me. It was very, very difficult for me. I didn’t want to accept it, it’s very difficult. "

"You have to come to terms at some point. You have to actually give it up to God and it sounds so mean, but you have to move on," she continued.

Super producer RedOne has revealed that he has made four tracks for Nicki Minaj's new album, including new single 'Starships'.

RedOne, who has helped craft some of Lady Gaga's biggest hits, revealed his thoughts on Minaj's new material and the direction her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album is taking.

"It's four songs we did. The tracks that I've worked with on Nicki Minaj are amazing, incredible." Redone told Billboard.

Adding: "To be honest, I am so happy and excited for what people are going to think. She's an incredible artist, very inspiring. A character, a beautiful person, it's all in one."

Meanwhile, Nicki has said that she won't rest until she is the biggest rapper in the world.

Recalling a recent meeting with Jay-Z, Nicki told Allure: “I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’”

Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons has finally been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as the animation nears its landmark 500th episode.

After starting out as a regular fixture on a different show, the yellow family were handed their own full-length series in 1989 and have been on the air ever since.

Last year's run, the 22nd season, was still performing admirably in the ratings, pulling in around 7.3 million viewers per episode.

Groening was joined yesterday in LA by 'New Year's Eve' star Yeardley Smith, who voices Lisa Simpson, Hank Azaria (Phoebe's boyfriend David in Friends) and Nancy Cartwright, who voices Bart.

It had been reported last year that the show was in danger of cancellation after the cast put up a fight against pay cuts, but the changes were successfully negotiated and the show has been renewed for at least two more seasons.

The 500th episode airs in the US on February 19 (Sunday).

The Hills star Heidi Montag famously spent tens of thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgery, enduring a staggering 10 procedures in just one day in her quest for perfection, however the extensive surgery has prematurely aged the reality star who now looks much older than her 24 years.

The blonde star was photographed yesterday with husband and The Hills co-star Spencer Pratt as they picked up some bits from a petrol station in Los Angeles.

When she spotted the cameras she unsuccessfully attempted to shield her face, and although the star was fresh-faced and make-up free, she looked very blotchy and puffy, showing the repercussions from her plastic surgery transformation.

The reality star looks unrecognisable after breast implants which boosted her As to DDDs, a brow lift, a nose job revision, liposuction on her stomach and thighs, a bottom augmentation, her ears pinned back and her chin reduced.

Heidi was photographed wearing a strangely dirty and mismatched outfit, which was covered in grubby, greasy marks – completely different from her usual glamorous red carpet look.

Similarly husband Spencer was not looking his best, his formally lean and toned physique now looks flabby, with a belly visible underneath his light blue polo shirt.

The reality couple have fallen from grace in the last year or so, and have gone from being among the biggest reality TV stars in the States to largely ignored in celebrity and entertainment circles.

Having proved to be a natural on the ice, Dancing On Ice's Jorgie Porter has revealed that she's worried she'll "crash and burn" before the show ends in March.

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, the Hollyoaks' actress, who has impressed judges Robin Cousins, Louie Spence and Katarina Witt with her performances so far, confessed that she didn't want the show to end.

Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap said: "The adrenaline’s keeping me going, but I'll probably crash and burn at some stage. I'm hoping that day won't come until after I've been voted off the ice – but right now, I'm just really hyper. Everything is happening at once.

"When the show inevitably comes to an end for me, I'll be gutted to not be doing it any more."

With Jennifer Ellison injuring herself on the ice last Sunday, Jorgie also revealed that she was scared of hurting professional ice-skater, Matt Evers.

"My biggest fear is injuring Matt. My skates are wrapped around his head a lot, and I'm scared I'm going to chop an ear off or something."

Sugababes singer Heidi Range has always been known as the 'bigger one' whilst being in the band because of her curvier figure, and she's admitted that keeping her weight down is a tough battle but now, the star has revealed her incredible weight loss.

Since appearing on Dancing On Ice, the 5ft 2in star has admitted that she's shed the pounds and is now at seven and a half stone. Skating with Andrei Lipanov has really helped her tone up and she's now more confident than ever.

"I'm not complaining - I've never been able to shift it before," she told Now magazine. "I'm a size 6-8 now. I was a size 8 on top anyway but a 10 on the bottom. Now I'm 7.5 stone and my waist's about 24in. My stomach and arms have got really toned too, from holding myself in position on the lifts."

Sounds like her sister is benefiting from the weight loss, as she said: "My sister's been raiding my wardrobe," she says, "so if I put it back on I'll be like: 'Erm can I have me old clothes back please?'"

As for her skating skills, which didn't wow viewers on Sunday night, she said: "I'm getting better as the weeks go on but it's really nerve-wracking."

The Only Way Is Essex has set the record straight about his rumoured romance with new TOWIE star Georgina Dorsett.

Having claimed that she had no interest in getting with any of the guys on the show, Georgina was then spotted sharing a kiss with Joey Essex. However, Joey has now revealed that the pictures of them are fake as he's never locked lips with her.

Talking to Now magazine, the star said: "Those pictures of me and Georgina snogging were fake, I think they merged our heads together or something because I definitely haven’t kissed her."

Asked whether there could ever be a bit of romance between them, Joey explained that Georgina, who is best friends wit The Saturdays' Rochelle Wiseman, isn't his time.

He added: "To be honest, I think she’s a bit moody and hasn’t got a sense of humour. When I’m talking to her I feel like I’m falling asleep. When Diags and me took her and Lauren P out, they kept going on about it being a date, but we were just hanging. If it was a date, it would have been better than that."

Echoing Joey's claims that they're not romantically linked, Georgina told New! magazine: "He’s lovely, I could definitely see a good friendship there, but nothing more. He¹s a lot younger than me – age-wise and the way he acts."
