Boot Camp puts pressure on all contestants, especially as the talent is so high in this years X Factor. However it seems that one contestant may think that drink is the answer to calming nerves?
Collagen Westwood took to the stage in tonight’s boot camp battle alongside Britt Love and Diedra Lawlor. She wore tight leggings and a top that showed her bra.
Before they sang Kings of Leon, Britt told the camera that Collagen smelt of alcohol and hinted that Collagen was only there to be on TV. Britt expressed at how unfair the situation was, especially on herself and Diedra.
When the group had finished Gary told them it was the worst audition they had seen. The judges deliberated and decided Britt was worth the gamble but the other two were to be sent home.
Collagen admitted on stage she had a shot of brandy to loosen and warm her throat. Gary shot her down and told her “drink does not help vocal chords”. Off-stage Collagen told Dermot that Gary wasn’t “the holy grail of singing” – basically she didn’t agree with his advice.
Collagen has since taken to her twitter page to deny she was “drunk” and says she had two shots to warm up her throat.
