The Venice Film Festival combines A-List glamour with Art House chic as the stars come out to see some of the movies that are aiming to gain critical acclaim as well as box-office success this autumn.
Wednesday's first night saw Mira Nair's controversial 9/11 film 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' premiere to general acclaim, questioning as it does the distinction between enemies of America and those who fully buy into its capitalist ethos, with lead character Changez going from Wall Street banker to suspected radical.
However aside from the film's heavier points actresses Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts stunned on the red carpet with nude gowns, although only Hudson appears in the movie, with Watts there to support partner Liev Schreiber.

Naomi Watts, who's set to play Princess Diana in a new biopic, looked stunning beside Schreiber as she supported her partner, who plays an agent who interrogates Changez in the film.
The second night's biggest film was 'The Iceman', starring Boardwalk Empire's Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder and Ray Liotta. Directed by Ariel Vromen it tells the story of a notorious mafia hitman.
Inbetween the stars' projects one could either take in some of the festival's more arty foreign fare, with movies like 'Betrayal' or 'Superstar', or you could chill out in the Italian sunshine as Zac Efron did.
See the stars come out in Venice here...
