Chris Brown has a reputation as a bit of a violent guy, what with his assault on former girlfriend Rihanna and much publicised nightclub brawls with fellow R&B star Drake.
Yet despite playing up to his streetwise thuggish image, although as a street dancer in 'Battle of The Year (3D)' in this case, it's Chris who takes the punches in the trailer for the film, which will be released in January 2013.
It seems to be over a familiar subject too, as Brown is heard declaring to his assailant that he's "twice the man" he is, before getting socked in his break dancer's chops. We then hear someone enquiring whether it is "about that girl".
We're guessing on previous form it might be, yet Brown seems immune to fan and critic condemnation, with his album Fortune reaching No. 1 in both the UK and the US so we're guessing this new movie could be a success.
By putting this scene in the trailer however those behind the film might be hoping to attract Brown-haters who want to see him get a little taste of his own medicine.
The movie follows the story of a b-boy crew who are coached to succcess by a washed-up basketball coach (Josh Holloway). Oh and it'll all be available in glorious 3D.
In other Brown news, he and Drake are being sued for $16m for that nightclub brawl and ex-girlfriend Rihanna has admitted that she still loves him.
