It seems that E.L. James' 'mummy porn' novel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' isn't just set to spawn a much anticipated blockbuster, but is also getting women across the UK to watch films in which there's a bit of bad behaviour in the bedroom.
With a bit of fantasy now no longer taboo in many households, it seems that orders for films with a naughty reputation are also rocketing.
The Metro reports that viewer numbers for LoveFilm’s ‘Something Saucy’ collection have risen 55 per cent in the five months since the kinky books found their way on to bookshelves across the nation.
The novel, which tells the story of protagonist Anastasia Steele's 'sadomasocistic relationship' with billionaire Christian Grey, is set to become a feature film, but until its release fans are getting their fix by ordering similarly naughty treats.
'Secretary', starring Maggie Gyllenhaal as a personal assistant who enters a dark relationship with her boss Mr Grey (The same name as James' demanding love interest) has seen a 300 per cent increase in viewers.
With fans of the books already looking for a visual dose of the sexual shenanigans documented in the novel, it seems fans can't even wait until the film hits cinemas!
