Worn by the likes of celebrities with understated and sedate style such as Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba and Kristen Stewart, luxury jewellery brand Satya Jewelry has made an impact in the fashion industry, so now they’ve challenged themselves to a men's collection.
Entertainmentwise were lucky enough to sip champagne amidst the serene surroundings of the wonderfully opulent boutique in London’s Covent Garden, which, as they try and project, is probably calmer than a yoga studio.
Satya, meaning truth in Sanskrit, is all about being ‘’beautiful, meaningful and inspiring,’’ with their signature malas, semi-precious stones and charms symbolizing truth and completeness.
Enveloped by Buddhist symbolism, flower petals and velvet footstools, the jewels are merely an accessory to the lavish room where they are on display, proving how minimalist and classy they are in their designs.
And despite maintaining a classic rather than trendy image - Coco Chanel’s phrase, ‘’Fashion fades, only style remains the same,’’ springs to mind – the brand plays on current trends in their own subtle ways, such as their super cool wrap bracelets that come in different neon colours and are emblazoned with pretty gems.
But you won’t catch Lady GaGa or Katy Perry rocking these stones as Satya’s underplayed creations attract celebs and usual people of the same introverted nature, such as Courteney Cox, Anne Hathaway, Rachel Bilson and Susan Sarandon; all fans of fashion without sporting teapots as hats.
So, in succeeding amongst our fave female stars, the brand, initially from New York, is now reaching out to all of the Robert Pattinson’s and Jude Law’s out there with a men's collection that is a little reminiscent of what Leonardo DiCaprio might wear if he was to star in a more stylish sequel of The Beach.
The new line, which could definitely be worn by slightly tomboyish girls as well, ranges from silver and beaded necklaces featuring plaques and spiritual symbols, silver rings, cuff and beaded wrap bracelets and even silver key rings that make the new range complete with its fresh masculine essence.
Sufiyeh Hadian, who represents the London branch, said she’d describe the brand as ‘’spiritual jewellery – every design has a meaning behind it.’’
And on what male celebs she reckons it would suit best, she jokes, ‘’probably Russell Brand, he does a lot of yoga, right?’’
