The Olympic Stadium will see many a famous face take to the stage for the closing ceremony this weekend and with the likes of Muse, Ed Sheeran and George Michael confirmed it's set to be one hell of a show!
Rockers Muse have been the latest act to be confirmed. The band, who penned the official Olympics track 'Survival', will play the track live at Sunday's closing ceremony.
"I'm happy with the song. It's a proper Muse song," drummer Dom Howard told NME.
Before adding, "It's not something we did for the Olympics. They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [playing the] closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is".
Other acts rumoured to perform include The Who, Take That and the Spice Girls. Exciting stuff...
Even the likes of One Direction may be performing alongside ginger haired cutie Ed Sheeran!
Ed last week said that the rumours "may or may not be true," spilling, "I was told not to say anything about that, and then as soon as I was told not to say anything about that.
He added, "The closing ceremony, there were rumours I am playing the closing ceremony. Those rumours may or may not be true. If I was to play the closing ceremony, I might be playing with quite a big rock band and I might be playing one of their most famous hits. Might be. And if I was doing that, it would feel quite fun, I think."
He teased, "And it would be quite a moment for me. But that's if I was doing it."
Ooo, we wonder who it could be!
Who are you most looking forward to seeing take to that all important stage?
