Now that 'The Dark Knight Rises' is in cinemas, speculation has started as to what will come after the movie, whether there'll be a Cat Woman, or other spin-offs from Christopher Nolan's Batman Universe.
Anne Hathaway, who plays Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in the film, it could happen very soon if director Christopher Nolan is prepared to take the helm. The actress told Digital Spy: "If he's interested, I'm very interested," adding: "I think it would be lovely to see more of her, but only if it's with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City, and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least."
Intriguingly, Nolan has answered cryptically when asked if he'd ever do a spin-off with Kyle at its centre, telling Access Hollywood: “She’s an incredible character and we’re very excited to see her and hopefullywe’ll leave people wanting more,” adding that he was "done" with the franchise and the characters. However he seemed to contradict this slightly by saying: "[But] I certainly think she deserves [another chance], she’s incredible."
Nolan has form in this respect, he said he wouldn't do a third Batman movie until he had the right idea, perhaps he just needs a little time to work out a plausible story that could showcase Kyle's talents without disrupting the feel and completeness of the Gotham City that he's created.
