Sob! The end really is night.
Michelle Trachtenberg and Penn Badgley have been spotted in New York filming some of their last ever scenes for Gossip Girl.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the series, which also stars Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and (sporadically) Taylor Momsen, would be drawing to a close this year.
Despite tumbling ratings it was renewed by network The CW for one final, reduced season to tie up the story in style.
And fans will no doubt be hoping for some final fireworks from Trachtenberg's character Georgina, who has been causing chaos for the other gossipers since the first season.
