New kid on the block Conor Maynard was spotted leaving Ireland today (July 9), saying goodbye to hoards of fans that turned up to bid the teen farewell.
Conor burst onto the music scene not so long ago with debut track 'Can't Say No' and ever since then his ever-growing fanbase tend to follow him around and he's always more than happy to stay and chat and sign autographs. N'awwww, what a cutie!
The 'Vegas Girl' singer has already been compared to the likes of One Direction and even Justin Bieber, however Connor has recently commented on the comparisons, claiming that he wants people to make their own assumptions about his music, rather than to just pass him off as yet another 'Bieber lookalike.'
Hmmm, it's definitely not a bad thing Conor!
Speaking to MTV Australia, Conor went on to say: "Rather than being the next Justin Bieber, I’m the first Conor Maynard."
"I think I’d rather people just listen to my music and make their own opinions rather than, kind of you know, ‘Oh OK apparently he’s like Justin Bieber’ or ‘I don’t like Justin Bieber so I’m not going to listen to him.’"
However, the star is more than happy to welcome in Bieber's massive 'lady fanbase', it seems...
The 19-year old revealed: "Well you know part of being a musician is that kind of attention from screaming young girls and I think you know, yeah I think it’s exciting."
"For me, all I’ve really wanted is for as many people as possible to be listening to my music, and the more and more fans I get, the more and more people I get talking about my music and that means there’s more people listening to it."
He added: "So it’s really exciting and I’m having a lot of fun doing that, and obviously the attention from the ladies is also a very fun aspect of it as well."
Fans say bye to Conor Maynard in Ireland
